Dr Ellen Craig
Clinical Psychologist

Dr Ellen Craig is a specialist perinatal Clinical Psychologist offering compassionate, evidence-based support for individuals and couples navigating the complex journey of fertility, pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. With over twenty years experience in both NHS and private settings she specialises in helping clients manage anxiety, low mood, trauma and the complex transitions that can come with being a parent.
A central part of Ellen's work is supporting people to explore how their own experiences in childhood can shape their journey into parenthood, whether for the first time or with subsequent babies, as well as thinking about their unique relationship with their baby. This can be a profound and often emotional part of the perinatal experience and Ellen brings specialist expertise to help clients make sense of these patterns with compassion and clarity.
Within the NHS Ellen holds the position of Principal Clinical Psychologist in the Hertfordshire Community Perinatal Team. She offers specialist perinatal clinical supervision and training as well as being an Honorary Lecturer on doctoral courses in Clinical Psychology.
Dr Shetal Patel
Clinical Psychologist

Dr Shetal Patel is a registered Clinical Psychologist with twenty years of experience working in the NHS, including with clients experiencing difficulties with mental health throughout the perinatal period, from preconception, during pregnancy, birthing and postpartum.
Shetal understands how difficult it can be to engage in therapy, particularly during the perinatal period, where there are many practical and emotional challenges with seeking support. Her non-judgmental and strength-based approach, facilitates a space where clients can feel safe to explore their difficulties and achieve their personal goals.
Shetal is competently able to offer flexible, integrative and person-centered care to people with a variety of difficulties.
Alongside her private work, Shetal works in the NHS as the Clinical Lead for a specialist Perinatal Loss and Trauma service. She also offers doctorate level teaching on Clinical Psychology courses, and is a trained Clinical Supervisor.
